“Workforce of the future : Cross-Generational Culture & Innovation in a Post-COVID-19 World”
Today’s workforce is more diverse and cross-generational than ever. Understanding the multi-generational workforce is crucial for managers and professionals to bring success to their projects and organizations.
In this panel discussion, the panelist members will discuss:
- What skills are lacking given the existing mix of generations in the workforce?
- What do we have today viewing from different perspectives such as diversity, personality differences, open/closed network, generation factors, technology innovation?
- What is now needed to better recruit, train, engage and retain talent?
The panelist members from a diverse background including academics, industry leaders and technology professionals will bring insights on the future of the workforce.
About the Panelists:
Dr Jeanne Fu – Associate Professor, Department of Management, Hang Seng University of Hong Kong
Dr Jeanne FU is an Associate Professor and the Programme Director of BBA-Global Business Management at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK).
Prior to joining HSUHK, she has worked at Stanford University as a post-doctoral fellow, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and City University of Hong Kong as Assistant and Associate Professor. Her research centers on how multi-culturals organise and use their cultural knowledge learnt from different cultural traditions, and how people from different cultures vary in their lay perception of social actions.
Recently, she develops theoretical frameworks that explain individual behaviours in cross-cultural settings, such as multiculturalism, expatriation and inter-cultural interactions, and applies her theories in various organisational behaviours such as leadership, conflict resolution and team dynamics. She publishes her work in both disciplines of psychology and management.
Dr Monica Tang – Senior IT Manager, The University of Hong Kong
Dr Monica TANG is an IT management professional with over 20 years of experience specialized in system applications. She is now working in the capacity of Senior IT Manager at the University of Hong Kong. She is a frequent speaker on leadership, management and analytics at professional and academic events. Monica earned her Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include leadership and management. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Prashant Joshi – Director, Regulatory Affairs, BNP Paribas
Mr Prashant JOSHI is a Director at BNP Paribas Global Markets Front Office focusing on Regulatory Affairs & Initiatives looking primarily at impacts of market structure changes. Prashant has worked in a number of global roles in the financial services industry for 14 years in Europe, Asia and the US. Outside of work, he is Chair of the City Indian Network (CIN), a professional network comprising over 200 businesspeople with an interest in the Indian markets as well as culture.
Prashant practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Muay Thai, also teaching classes for the youth and more recently the underprivileged. Prashant also is co-founder of Sewa Day in APAC where ~100 projects have been initiated serving thousands of people in need across Hong Kong, mainland China, and Singapore. He has been on the committee of Food for Life Hong Kong since 2012, a philanthropic initiative whose aims are to provide sustainable food to the underprivileged and raise awareness of sustainable diet across society.
Peter Williams – Business Treasury Head, Citi Institutional Clients Group, Asia Pacific
Mr Peter WILLIAMS has developed an international career in finance, investments, banking and treasury, starting in Australia, continuing to London, followed by Singapore, and for the past nine years in Hong Kong. Peter’s focus in the current role is to help the firm to optimize the balance sheet and create value for clients whilst navigating the regulatory environment.
Along the way he has continued to explore life-long learning opportunities and embrace the benefits of creativity, diversity, and empathy. Peter has also become a serial volunteer, active across multiple local, regional, and global networks to support initiatives that promote equality, education, empowerment, entrepreneurship, and the environment.
Peter graduated with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is past president of the alumni club in Hong Kong. He is a director on the board of Music for Life International, a charity based in New York that creates transformative social impact through music. He is also on the board of Resolve Foundation, a leadership program that aims to make Hong Kong more tolerant and inclusive. He has developed a collection of insights around the mindset and tools for effective networking. He has spoken on the value of volunteering, and on how innovation happens. He is a constant connector that explores the intersection of corporate culture, creativity, design, innovation and entrepreneurship. His second book will be self-published in 2020 and will feature an insight developed during the Chicago Booth Executive MBA and extended after graduation – that the formula for innovation and adventure are the same, and the best way to achieve both is to integrate them into your portfolio of personal and professional projects.

Rajeev Chib – Asia Head of Client Facilitation and Business Management, Citibank
Mr Rajeev CHIB is the Regional Asia Head of Client Facilitation & Business Management across Investor Sales and Relationship Management and has 25 years international experience within Capital Markets with banks based in Hong Kong, New York and Toronto. Rajeev and his team are responsible for partnering with Sales & Relationship Management and delivering Citi’s extensive investor client strategy across all products and geographies in the region within a risk controlled framework.
Before taking on his current position in October 2013, he was the Equities Business Unit Manager for Asia Pacific and responsible for Business Unit Management functions related to Equities products.
Outside of work, he is a member of the APAC Investor Sales & Relationship management team, and Co-Chair of the COO Markets committee of Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA). Rajeev currently is pursuing a doctorate in business administration from City University of Hong Kong and has his Masters of Business Administration (Executive MBA) from University of Toronto. He has his Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics (with honors) from University of Toronto.
