PMI Hong Kong Chapter is proud to introduce Dr. Alex Chan as our guest speaker to share with us the captioned topic.
Dr. Chan is the Senior Programme Director / College Principal Lecturer at HKU SPACE Executive Academy. In addition he is Head of Centre for Management and Innovation at the Institute for China Business (ICB). His areas of specialties are Management, Strategy and Innovation.
Dr. Chan has also more than 15 years of experience in the corporate world and has previously held Senior Management roles in Sales and Marketing with leading British & European companies in the mobile technology industry managing Global customers such as Google, Samsung, LG, Nokia, Motorola, Microsoft, Toshiba, Panasonic, HTC, Lenovo, Huawei and China Mobile.

Seminar on “Overview of Fintech Trends in 2018”
Currently there is a lot of excitement around topics such as P2P financing and blockchain among the various financial institutes. Key players feel that if they are to remain competitive, they must have a clear strategy when it comes to Fintech.
Otherwise, there is no doubt that their business will be impacted by disruptive innovators. As a result, there are many pet projects within financial institutes trying out the potential of different financial technologies. This also means many new project opportunities for project managers. In this talk, the speaker will provide a comprehensive overview of the currently hot Fintech topics such as AI, VR, Blockchain, Big Data and Cloud Computing.
The objective is to provide the audience with a strategic perspective on what business imperatives that different financial institutes are trying to achieve with Fintech.
