Synopsis

Project manager plays both buyer and seller roles. Project delivers solutions in terms of a unique product, service or result. Suppliers deliver solutions via projects while buyers buy the project outcomes. Project professionals need to have a holistic view about strategic procurement and suggest tendering processes in order to select and guide suppliers. Contractors (also PM) must skillfully address requirements with their strengths without dissatisfying customers. However, upon contract award, PM feels the constraints around time, cost and scope.
