About the Topic:
Remote management is much more than just implementing a work-from-home policy and a lot to learn from the world’s largest all-remote companies – GitLab. In this seminar, you’ll get a quick overview on how to learn and apply remote work best practices, build your remote work policy, and prepare your team for success. I will share what “all-remote” means and the 10 stages of remote work, some tips and tricks for remote teams, and the experience of applying remote work in Haven Technologies Asia.
About the Speaker:
Copland is the head of engineering at Haven Technologies Asia, an InsurTech headquartered in Hong Kong which provides digital insurance solutions to Greater China and Southeast Asia leveraging successfully proven technology from Haven Life, LifeScore Labs and MassMutual.
He has extensive experience in building and running large-scale, strategic technology platforms in financial institutions. Prior to joining Haven Technologies Asia, Copland managed the global devops team at Macquarie Bank – spearheading a technological transformation of its equity finance business unit. Copland enjoys swimming with his daughter and son, learning the latest technology trends and consuming far, far too much local street foods at home and abroad.
