PMP Exam Will Change in Dec 2019
Dear PMIHK Members,
The PMP Exam will change in Dec 2019. Last date to take the current version of the exam is 15 Dec 2019. There is a new PMP Exam Content Outline that you should refer to if you plan to take your exam after that date. You may want to refer to this PMI web page for more details about the change.
In the Jun 2015 version, the PMP Exam Content Outline identifies 5 domains: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing. In the Jun 2019 version, there are 3 domains: People (42%), Process (50%) and Business Environment (8%). Content that spans the value spectrum, including predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, will be included across the three exam domains.
Effectively, it means that PMP exam aspirants cannot rely solely on the existing study materials and exam simulators after 15 Dec 2019. It is therefore expected there’ll be a surge of exam takers near the date. If you want to take the current version of the exam, please schedule a date early.
Sincerely,
PMI Hong Kong Chapter
