"Leveraging LED Lighting and Distributed Computing to save Electricity usage"

Lighting and its global consumption of energy plays a significant role in the global emission of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), a major greenhouse gas contributing to Global Warming. As one of the ways to combat this, the International Energy Agency has recommended the phase-out of inefficient lighting products and the promotion & adoption of energy efficient lighting systems design and management.
This month’s evening seminar will look into the implementation of these initiatives and encompass on the following :

·         Practical examples and applications of Energy Saving in Lighting 
·         Key elements on Smart Lighting control
·         Ease of expansion and Installation
·         How Distributed computing can help
·         Key Design Considerations
·         Case Study of successful Pilot Project 
About the Speaker:

Mr. Henry Yau

DBA, MBA, B.S / M.S. (Elec.Eng / Computer Science), J.D of Law
Mr. Yau is the CEO and Founder of DeLight Power Products Limited. As one of the incubates in the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park (HKSTP) Incu-Tech Incubation Program, the company is focused on leveraging technology to achieve worldwide saving in electricity use.
DeLight Power Products has also been the recipient of several awards including
·         2015 APEC Global Challenge – Siemens Award (Smart Living Category)
·         Hong Kong Green Building Council Award
·         IE Business School Best Startup Award
Mr Yau has held a number of senior management positions in different companies such as Tri-con, Philips, YaMing Lighting and Getz Brothers across Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and US. He played a key role in the creation of one of the top three fastest supercomputer in China and is the recipient of a patent for non-electrolytic capacitor.     
Mr Yau holds a Doctor of Business Administration, Master degrees in MBA, MS and BS in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science.
