This stream recognises outstanding locally developed products and applications which provide cost-effective and innovative IT solutions to business enterprises as well as public sector organisations, through the deployment of proven and emerging information technologies. The awards encourage original products and services development by our IT industry as well as in-house applications developed by business and public sector organisations.

The PMI HK Chapter has organized the Outstanding Volunteer Awards 2018 to recognize volunteers of PMI HK Chapter and to encourage them to continue their contributions to PMI.

Founded in 1997, PMI Hong Kong Chapter has made significant progress and valuable contribution to the development of local Project Management profession. In our upcoming AGM to be held on 12 Oct 2018 (Friday), we have much pleasure to share with you our successful achievements over the past year and to preview our upcoming Congress on 3rd November 2018. All eligible PMP® will be granted 1 PDU after participating in this event.
The Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT), the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) jointly organise an information security seminar.
The Information Security Summit 2018 is a Regional Event with the aim to give participants from the Asia Pacific region an update on the latest development, trends and status in information security. This year’s Summit will include a two-day conference and a number of workshops demonstrating management and technical theory, applications and practical experiences on all aspects of information security relating to securing and protecting data in borderless cloud and mobile environment, big data analytics and the Internet of Things.
In 2017, PMI Hong Kong Chapter celebrated its 20th Anniversary (1997 to 2017) with a series of special events and awards. To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of our founding, we are issuing a special edition “PMIHK 20th Anniversary 2017 Celebrations Newsletter” for our members.
With the theme “Banking for a Smart Society”, the event will look at how banks should digitise processes and channels to create a well integrated customer experience in a smart society. The event will discuss how the industry should manage this digital transformation as business model, talent requirements, technologies, processes, culture etc. are undergoing significant changes.

During this time, the Chapter has celebrated many milestones and achieved much success in advancing and advocating the Project Management profession.
