The Seminar is jointly organized with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers – the Project Management Group (Patron Division: MMNC) and the Young Members Committee.

Programme Highlights:
“5S’ is based on the Japanese words that begin with ‘S’, i.e. Seiri; Seiton; Seiso; Seiketsu and Shitsuke. The 5S Philosophy focuses on effective work place organization and standardized work procedures. 5S simplifies the work environment, reduces waste and non-value activity while improving quality, efficiency, health and safety.

This seminar aims to provide an introduction of 5S and presents a case study for application of 5S for project management in Lamma Power Station.

Ir Dr Louis LOCK is the Site Manager of Lamma Power Station for site management from civil construction to subsequent mechanical/electrical installation and commissioning.
