The Information Security Summit 2018 is a Regional Event with the aim to give participants from the Asia Pacific region an update on the latest development, trends and status in information security. This year’s Summit will include a two-day conference and a number of workshops demonstrating management and technical theory, applications and practical experiences on all aspects of information security relating to securing and protecting data in borderless cloud and mobile environment, big data analytics and the Internet of Things.
The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the Hong Kong Police Force and the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre have jointly organised the annual “Build a Secure Cyberspace” promotional campaign on information security since 2005. A series of promotional activities, including conducting thematic seminars and schools visits, distributing leaflets and posters, producing radio broadcast programmes and organising various types of contests, etc. were staged to raise public awareness of information security.
In 2017, PMI Hong Kong Chapter celebrated its 20th Anniversary (1997 to 2017) with a series of special events and awards. To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of our founding, we are issuing a special edition “PMIHK 20th Anniversary 2017 Celebrations Newsletter” for our members.
With the theme “Banking for a Smart Society”, the event will look at how banks should digitise processes and channels to create a well integrated customer experience in a smart society. The event will discuss how the industry should manage this digital transformation as business model, talent requirements, technologies, processes, culture etc. are undergoing significant changes.
Project Management Institute Hong Kong Chapter, established in 1997, celebrates its 20th Anniversary in 2017. During this time, the Chapter has celebrated many milestones and achieved much success in advancing and advocating the Project Management profession. As part of our year long calendar of special events, the Chapter is proud to host the Asia Pacific Project Management Congress 2017 and the 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner on 22nd November at Ocean Park.

Over these years, we have not only made great advancements in the profession of Project Management but also made significant contributions to local organisations, other industries & professions, Education (Primary, Secondary & University), the greater society in Hong Kong.
PMI Hong Kong Chapter had completed the Call-for-Nomination for the sixteen (16) Executive Committee members to serve in the Chapter Board, with Nomination formally closed on 05 April 2017. Totally, 24 nomination forms were received for 16 positions. Election Committee had reviewed and confirmed the eligibility of the candidates. The electronic vote was formally close on 12 May 2017. Below are the results of the sixteen (16) elected Executive Committee members.
